Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have classes for all ages?

Yes! We offer dance classes for ages 3-18 of all mixed levels. We offer recreational-level classes for dancers beginner-advanced, in addition to our pre-professional level company and competition teams. We also provide private lessons for adults interested in Wedding dance choreography or for those who just want to brush up on past skills or try dance for the first time.

Where is your studio located?

MC Dance Miami is located in the neighborhood of Palmetto Bay, FL. Our studio is located inside the school campus of Alexander Montessori School at 14850 SW 67th Ave. Starting at 3PM our studio is transformed into MC Dance Miami, where we welcome dancers from all over the community of Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay, Coral Gables, and South Miami.

Do you need to be an Alexander School student to attend your dance classes?

No, everyone is welcome! You do not need to be an Alexander School student or alumni to attend our classes. Although our studio is located within the school campus, we are a separate company. Many students come from other schools to be a part of MC Dance Miami. Classes are offered all the way up to age 18, so you can join anytime!

What does the “M.C.” Stand for in MC Dance Miami?

MC stands for the Owner’s initials, Meghan Camilletti. She is the founder of MC Dance Miami and pours her heart and soul into her #MCdancefam community of dancers.

Do you provide parking?

Yes, we have ample free parking available in our lot.

What type of dance floors are in your studio?

We have state of the art dance floors. Our floors are wood sprung sub floors with marley, and are perfectly designed for dance classes in all styles to prevent injury and enhance jumping and turning.

Do you require students to wear a uniform to class?

Yes, we require a certain dress code for certain level dance classes. We believe a dress code sets the dancer up for success! Getting in the habit of coming to dance class dressed neatly, ditching jewelry, and securing hair up teaches dancers proper dance etiquette and improves work ethic, focus, and overall attitude in class. A dress code also ensures a student’s safety, improves discipline, and allows the teacher to help correct proper body alignment and technique. Please refer to the class descriptions to find your specific dress code requirement.

How do I enroll?

Go to www.mcdancemiami.com, click “registration” tab, create an account, select your desired classes, and sign up! Register, view class details, and complete payment online through your MC Dance Miami parent portal.

Can Parents/Guardians watch classes?

No, with the exception of a trial class. The reason we have a closed-door policy is to retain the attention of our dancers with minimal distractions and provide as much, to provide uninterrupted instruction, and to foster a sense of independence in our dancers.

Where can I find the dress code?

Please refer to the “classes” tab and select “dress codes” on our site to find your specific dress code requirement for each class. Link are provided for your convenience to shop for items directly online.

What does “costume fee” mean?

Our recreational-level classes have the opportunity to perform in our Winter and Spring Dance Performances. The costume fee covers the cost of your child’s costume that they will wear at the show. After the completion of the performance costumes are yours to keep!

What are your COVID-19 protocols?

We currently do not require our Teachers or Dance students to wear a protective mask. Mask-wearing is optional.
